I agree with op. I never enjoyed mario3 ever because I hate nes graphics.

But I didn't enjoy allstars either because it indeed felt bland and generic compared to super mario world. It's kinda odd, because the graphics aren't that bad. But they aren't special. Not good enough to carry the gameplay. I am sure there will be people who did enjoy it, but I can't see whats enjoyable about it.
