Gonna list off a bunch of metal, rock, and punk, not saying you're gonna love them all, but they have at least some songs which are suitably Doomy. Many of these were sampled for Doom and Doom 2, the unused set of tracks, or Final Doom, etc.

>Nine Inch Nails (You may be familiar with NIN from Quake, and E4M1)
>Alice In Chains (Doom 2 sampled a bunch from the Dirt album, which is apex depression/misery core, in the best of ways)
>Megadeth (basically Metallica 2)
>Ministry
>Body Count (bridges the gap between metal, punk, and rap, and if it's anyone who could do that it's Ice-T, has a really good guitarist named Ernie C.)
>45 Grave
>Accept (their earliest stuff was them trying to ape AC/DC hoping it would be successful, they finally took off when they decided "Fuck it, let's do the music we want to do!")
>Anthrax
>Saxon
>Stone Temple Pilots (some people hate these guys)
>Entombed
>Blue Öyster Cult
>Sodom
>Pantera
>Twisted Sister
>Wumpscut
>Rage Against The Machine
>W.A.S.P ("Knulla som en best? Som ett vilddjur.")
>King Crimson (not strictly metal, but has some very nice guitar going)
>Joe Lamont
>Overkill
>Buckethead (recently featured in Sigil, also collabs with other bands and artists at times)
>Dimmu Borgir (their cover of Twisted Sister's Burn In Hell is arguably just as good as the original)
>Rob Zombie
>Diamond Head ("Am I eviiiil? Yes I aaaam.")
>The Sisters Of Mercy (Eric Alm's Scythe 2 samples their music, a lot)
>Alice Cooper (has a shitlong career which spans a wide variety of music, and some heavy substance abuse, his 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000's stuff is a lot more metal oriented, but a lot of his older stuff is pretty solid too)
>Kane Roberts (was Alice Cooper's guitarist for a while, has some great music on his own, and some bitchin' guitars shaped like machineguns, often fitted with pyrotechnics for live shows)
>Merciful Fate

I'll look around and see if I find some stuff that *maybe* could be used.
Anything from here you think looks usable?
