Yeah, this is the idea I'm going with. While the hammer is definitely strong as hell (it's basically a fecking divine nuke), strong is...pretty much all it can do. It's not fast, it barely builds up style/special, it can't block projectiles, and getting to the max is slow as hell. I'm also considering making it a two-handed weapon, so you can't use the hwando along with it--so if you want that power, you have to really invest in it. No sacrifice, no victory.
Whether it'll actually be that way in practice, well, we'll find out. I'm eager to see how people use it.

I nerfed it just today, actually.
It no longer affects bosses, and its damage is halved. So while it's still powerful and a constant stream of damage, it's no longer a Cyberdemon two-shotter.
