I feel the same way about the SNES Final Fight (both, Cody and Guy versions). It has enough of a different feel from the arcade (especially when it comes to the enemy placement and how many bad guys you fight at a time) that I view it more of a stand-alone game that just happens to be inspired by the CPS Final Fight than a port.
