I'm not sure about that. The extra features are great but the overall game is nowhere as smooth as the SNES original. I used the Star Egg during the Boomer fight and the framerate got completely ass chunked. The random hitches when exploring some areas kinda sucks too.
And I don't know if it's my reflexes starting to wither or if I have a shitty TV, but I botch inputs for timed hits frequently, mainly on blocking shit. I never had that issue on the SNES version.

This is frustrating because the additional mechanics like special enemies, being able to block spells, perfect parries, the AOE splash effect on perfect timed hits, the combo chain buffs, and being able to swap party members mid fight are all great additions.
