Same, considering that it's pretty much the only place on the internet where I can even discuss these games. At least on the western internet that I am aware of. Not that I'm complaining, it's actually rather fitting since I'm not playing SaGa all day erry-day but it is a comfy series I keep coming back to every now and then. It's nice that there is, by chance, usually always a SaGa related thread here when I'm actively playing one and its slow pace means it means it won't die in a less than a day.

Me playing Minstrel Song during my last high school years is the big culprit. Now, I feel like most JRPG are all the same shallow grindfest that come with different flavors of gimmick slapped on top.
Even the newest series pale compared to SaGa Frontier or Rom SaGa 2

If Shuzer was fun wait till you get to the other Heavenly Generals and Red's last push towards the final boss in the Black Ray and the Black Cross Base.
If you like Toku or Sentai Red's quest is the best thing ever happened to a RPG, if you think that Red is voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama and MetalBalck/Metal Alkaiser is voiced by Sho Hayami in their cameo in Lord of Arena you can only imagine what the rest of the cast would be in a voiced remake or anime adaptation.

And goddamnit I would have never imagined that the Cygnus battle against the Platys would be so hard to solo, it's impossible without grinding, those fucking assholes immediately do a 4 men Beak combo for 340 or so damage, it's the fifth time I'm trying to kill them with Double Gale Slash but no luck so far, I've been grinding for half an hour to the point I'm even getting Gaeatoads in random encounters and I'm still not fast enough to get the first turn.

Something about Red / Alkaiser does it for me. I think I have a latent fetish for the whole super sentai look. Don't judge.

One day I want to buy a PSP just to play the rpg gems for SNES and PSX I'm interested in but I haven't played yet (so many other games to play first) like some of the Saga and Mana games. Portable consoles were always more convient for me when it comes to rpg.
