Its so cool when literally every single fight in a map is a lock-in arena where a million monsters spawn in and you have barely any room to move. Doesn't get old in the slightest. Truly the greatest doom wad ever, better than the original Doom actually, you might as well throw that in the trash cause we have Eviternity now.

I'm currently playing pic related and it's oh so amazing. Generally, I'm amazed that Doom never gets old for me and it still feels modern, for the lack of better word. I guess "timeless" would be more accurate. So, yeah, I'm amazed after all those years it's still fresh ... it's fast, the gameplay is fun (depending on the map, of course, but the elements are all there) ... exploration, action, even atmosphere and almost unlimited content.

Thing is, I don't even like the original Doom that much, though I enjoyed the later maps a lot more than the first episode, which, for the longest time, was the only thing I knew about Doom, which is why I never really cared much about it, before I ended up experimenting with the source ports, playing Doom 2 via VanillaDoom a while back.

I think my fav besides Eviternity is Scythe. I enjoyed Sigil as well, unlike many people, but it's nowhere near as good as some WADs.

Will it ever be topped?
