This. Am I the only one upset that they pussified Samus outside the Power Suit in Zero Mission? You even unlock NES Metroid, not FDS Metroid, even in Japan. I mean if you want to retcon her to have lower defense or be unable to use Morph Ball that makes sense, but she should still be able to kick ass. The fucking prequel manga even had a scene where armorless Samus still materializes her Arm Cannon, just like the NES version.
