Show began to air in September 2007. This is the reason geek became popular.

I like the show but the geek aspect of it is way too forced and fake. I would be hard pressed to find people who do:
comics/wow/star wars/ star trek/retro and new vidya games/science experiments/D&D/Magic cards (warriors of k-ah or something like that)/toys/geek clothes.....

It's an unrealistic mish mash of everything geek. I like all the things they do but I also know that I wouldn't be able to devote my time to all those hobbies at once.
