I got a PVM-1442QM for free - it was being thrown out by my college (along with an RGB video printer which would may have been cool to have but very likely non-working). I'm in Europe so have been living with RGB SCART for many years but the picture quality on this is better than any consumer-grade CRT I've ever seen, though I don't think they sold Sony XBR series over here (never seen one anyway).

This is much older than the others posted here - it's from 1991 and has up/down buttons for picture settings instead of knobs (and no way of telling how far you're going up and down with the controls outside of counting light flashes). I don't think it's as good quality as the HR Trinitrons (this one says Trinitron Super Fine Pitch) but it's still great.

The purity and convergence is a bit off in the corners but it seems to get better after warming off - another disadvantage of the older models like this is this shit can only be fixed by physically moving magnets around and shit.
