Sephiroth barely ever showing up during the game ensured that every time he did it was an OH SHIT moment. It made every encounter special and mysterious, yet now they're beating you over the head with him constantly and this is only the first of a four part game. This alone proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that nobody working on this thing has a single goddamn clue what made the original so great and memorable. If they allow you to save Aeris and thus ruin one of the most iconic moments of both FF and gaming as a whole I am going to flip my goddamn shit like no other.
