I think that CRT snobs have started to like cheaper sets exclusively for the nostalgia factor. I like CRTs of any size shape or quality, and they are fun to play on and mess with. Granted, I almost exclusively play on a nice OLED with a scaler these days, but that's for convenience and space saving.
