Do You ever play a game only because of its aesthetics? I frequently do this with Demon's Crest. The sprites and animations are too cool, but I don't personally like the game. Same with the first two Splatterhouse games. The design of the monsters is sick as hell.

Great game, some of my favorite pixel art and music on the SNES. Gameplay wise it's essentially a Mega Man X reskin with all the same moves and horizontal only shooting etc. The mild metroidvania elements and the form switching are very similar to Mega Man ZX in particular (I suppose ZX was inspired by DC to some extent?).
