Which Beat em Ups have the most complex move sets for their characters? I always found Golden Axe and Double Dragon really boring because they feel like walking forward and using the same 2-3 moves on everything.

The one I liked best was Guardian Heroes, which felt like it had more to it than others I had played. Also it was mostly co-op which helped make it entertaining.

Are there any Beat em Ups out there where your character feels more like a full fighting game character with multiple specials and normals that are useful?

Fuck yes niggas! This game is so fucking good. Me and my buddies used to spend hours and hours in vs mode. Fighting ropers vs gods and villagers and shit. It's such a shame the only follow up they did to it was that super shitty Guardian Heroes Advance. I'd have killed for another real game.
