I have an experience with someone who managed to weaponize their childhood experiences.

A few months ago I made a thread on /v/ asking: I'm look for a permanent game-altering situation in Ocarina of Time where a non-numerical piece of data changes forever depending on a certain context, a necessity to get a true 100% file. It is not:

>the cow inside Link's house.
>the fourth rule to Fishing Hole.
>sinking the Fisherman's Hat.

Have you seen this non-player flag?

/end

I eventually found it, but what happened on that day, is something I was not expecting. Lurking /v/ was a super troll. The like of which you will never see. What he did, was somehow disinter an obscure rumor from the 90's and post it in my thread in a way that made sense.

He told me to Hookshot into the secret pathway in the Kakariko windmill, and activate Nayru's Love. Then grab the Cucco, and hover down to the tree with the laughing men were, and that upon talking to them their dialogue would change. Basically, he was subtlely referring me to Ocarina of Time's most well-kept secret.

There is lack of polish here because though the two men mention seeing Link surrounded by blue light, this never actually happens. Link never arrives in Kakariko after the Fire Temple because it would mess up the Bongo Bongo scene if you did fire third.

I already.knew about this, but had never considered doing that. After reverse googling the idea, I could only find posts online about it from way back, like around the release of MM or earlier.

Every so often you come across a cryptid online.
