Valis 2 on the X68000? Or PC Engine?

I admit that once I got over the terrible jumping controls/physics, and the extreme jank (no i-frames leading to massive damage losses) I really enjoyed Valis 2 on the x68k. It has a grittiness and meanness that the rest of the games lack, which at least helps it stand out. Plus collecting outfits is a cute way to get you to explore and look for buffs... Just don't pick up Reiko's cursed armor in Megas' castle, permanently fucking over your character...

I see right through your bullshit, you lying asshole.

Funnily enough I was just playing SD Valis on emulation. Man. What a terrible game. Or rather, terrible controls. Constantly at the edge of the screen to move forward? Check. Your jump inexplicably launching you face-first into enemies? Check. Sliding all over the place from simple movement? Check! Spike pits preventing you from double-jumping out of them? Check please!

I wish Wolf Team could have found a way to bring a form of their Valis 2 to the Genesis (inevitably censored), instead of whatever the heck we got with SD Valis...
