you will absolutely enjoy 6 and 8 if you loved 7. i find 6 is the best of the three, but also the hardest. 8 is the worst of the three, but also the easiest and shortest. 6 somehow manages to look the best i find with the environments and dungeons looking way more colorful, while 7 and 8 (which mostly reuses a lot of assets from 7) is overall just very dull green and brown.
8 only sees you customize one party member and then have to hire pre-made characters to fill out the rest of your party which may limit replayability compared to 6 and 7, but you can get very high powered level 50 characters early on in the game that can be fun in how trivial it ends up. i just beat 8 there last week and it was my first playthrough actively seeking out the lvl 50 characters and i was absolutely annihilating my way through dungeons in like 10 minutes that would have taken me around an hour on previous playthroughs.

to add to this anons post >>5711342 i would also recommend having at least a cleric on your team as they can heal/revive dead party members, and yea a sorcerer is good too for learning air magic (fly, wizard eye for seeing enemy and item locations on the map and, at least in MM7 and MM8, invisibility which makes a lot of tougher quests and dungeons trivial) and water magic (teleportation spells which is again handy for immediately teleporting out of dungeons after completing a quest/getting a key item to save you fighting your way back out)

skills like disarm trap and repair item are handy to know from the start/asap. and it certainly helps to be willing to have a pen and paper by your side as well as be okay with plenty of alt+tabbing to look up dungeon maps online if you get stuck or lost.

MM8 is a decent one to start with as it is without a doubt the easiest of the 3 (the end of the game is incredibly easy to cheese with invisibility, you can hire dragons on your party who are pretty OP), but its the worst of the 3 likewise. MM6 is the best (and in my opinion, comfiest ), but the hardest. MM7 is the inbetween.
