>decide to try eduke32 on Linux
>wiki is wrong about the local config directory; claims ~/.eduke32 when it's secretly ~/.config/eduke32
>wiki appears to be wrong about autorun; unable to load hires texture packs without a manual -g switch
>there is nothing on the wiki on eduke32.cfg
>eduke32 claims to find the Steam version, promptly discards it; alternatively, too poorly-written to handle following symlinks, as it detects and correctly loads when cd'd to the directory manually
>upon finding a set of games, drops all others (can't show shareware and registered at the same time)
>shows a phantom Nuclear Winter when shareware version is found to the exclusion of the registered; trying to run it causes a nonsensical error about palettes

Is eduke32 always this shit or am I especially lucky today?
