Maybe. According to the patch's readme he started out by trying to shove the script through DeepL line by line and iron out the kinks, realized that was too much then got a translator some time later. Who knows if they kept any of that though.
As for Tokimeki, maybe someone else beating him to the punch on it might rein in any ridiculous changes he might do. Probably not. But enough of that from me.
