I finally got off my lazy arse and added an 'Unused Audio' section to TCRF's Super Metroid article, along with the sample rips I wrote about last week.

https://tcrf.net/Super_Metroid#Unused_Audio

I have a feeling the last bit, the part that concerns the 'sexual' Minako Hamano recording and how I think the female voice sample I found >>7877086 might be it, is probably too speculative for the likes of BMF and all the other main contributors to the site, and so it'll probably get removed. I know better than to go down a rabbit trail of 'what ifs' on a wiki, but I couldn't help myself. Hopefully I'm wrong and I didn't go too far.

We had four good posts before the thread was taken over by AM2R/Zero Mission/Samus Returns zoomies. It would be nice if we could one day have a retro Metroid (Retroid?) general here on /vr/ that's just for people who aren't filtered by Metroid and Metroid II.

This guy gets it.

>Why not glue fucking thumb tacks to all the controller's buttons so you have to impale your finger every time you press a button? Having a controller you can use without injuring yourself makes the game worse and boring.
>Fuck you.
Why are you upset? What about that guy's post even remotely warrants this level of anger? To add to what he's saying, the reason you can enjoy the game without a map is because without one you're forced to rely on memory and to use your pattern recognition skills to get you out of, say, the deeper areas of Norfair (I played the game without a map recently and was surprised to rediscover how deep you have to venture into Norfair order to find the Screw Attack. But it makes the challenging of finding it and then finding your way back to the surface that much more gratifying to complete).

Post and discuss retro video game songs that are positive, soulful and easy on the ears. Music to lift your spirits on the long elevator ride to the top.
