>play Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
>soul everywhere (literally and figuratively)
>incredible voice acting
>superb music
>gameplay is simple but solid
>only downsides: camera and useless skills

Then I decided to continue my adventure with Soul Reaver 2. Holyshit.

>drab
>fighting mechanics are awful, clunky
>no soul (and actual souls look worse)

Is the game gonna get better or grow on me? I just felt disgusted with the first impression.
