Yes. Game's great. Definitely worth $1.50 or whatever it is.
It takes a little bit to get used to the controls and it might seem a little overwhelming (can't even imagine how long it would take to get used to the original controls, though), but it's pretty fun once you get into it. It's like an old-school FPS Metroid game. It has power-ups and upgrades and you can even customize the interface a bit to your liking, which is extremely cool. And the audio-logs are cheesy, but add a lot to the atmosphere and puzzle-solving.
However, because of a very unnecessary puzzle at some point in the game, I highly recommend at least reading the "For Starters" part of this guide, unless you just don't like using guides: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1761349780
It's also a decent guide in general if you ever get stuck (which, if you're as bad as me, will be pretty often).

Also, if you haven't played System Shock 2, buy that, too. Bioshock 1 and 2, as well. Or pirate them. I've played all 4 of them recently and they're all well worth your time.
