What is the most modern game like Bushido Blade 2?

I have mixed feelings with this sequel to Bushido Blade.

The combat feels way too fast, no more weapon variations or weight, no block button, the "improved" story mode was repetitive (Five mooks then the boss per stage".

What's your opinion?

Was just looking at this list and noticing there aren't even ten <1mil copies sold N64 games in Japan.

My feelings on the console are that it was cool when I was a kid, but as an adult there are less than five games that appeal to me both as a challenge and for their overall fun factor on the console. It simply did not have lasting titles outside of their main franchises and a few gems. Their competition, the Playstation on the other hand has a massive and varied library of classics.

Just realized Nintendo has been dying since the SNES.

Remember the superior sequel? I sure don't. I didn't get a chance to play it until recently, but I did indeed enjoy it more than the original.

I don't think the original had unlockable guns, did it?

Anyone ever play this game? I'm a little surprised I don't here it brought up more often. My best friend and I used to play the fuck out of this game with some monstrous samurai battles. We probably played the game for about 2 years until we finally got our hands on a copy of the first Bushido Blade.

M-maybe someone else will agree with me this time....?
