/vr/ - Retro Games

There's a sale currently going on, on steam. Is it worth it to play the old system shock games if I'm a fan of bioshock?

I love this game. I've never been more engrossed in a single player game from the early 90s than this game.

However, I hated the sequel. I'm not a fan of RPGs that require you to, "level up" or set a class.

The first System Shock was an excellent mix of acquiring components to progress. The puzzles were an added enjoyment too.

It's very similar to the Legend of Zelda games require you to level up in order to progress to different areas.

Looking forward to the reboot that's coming out this year.

It's really a shame that there aren't single player games like this anymore.

This game is kinda meh. I like the art direction and music (when it's not trying too hard) but the controls are honestly just too annoying. I think it'd be better if instead of enemies there were hacking terminals or something, it's just so tiresome with all the drag and drop and zero tactics when you see an enemy. I don't think I'll finish this one, I might rather just jump into its sequel... What did you think of it? Do you suggest I persist?

What a fucking shit game, piece of shit, I've been enjoying so far but I've had enough of it's bugs, fucking shit. Did the laser but power diverted to lever R, what the fuck?
