if the spindle is already half dead anyway, try adjusting the intensity pot. like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mXM2UTjDiI
take a jewelry flathead screwdriver and just turn the pot a little bit at a time (1/8 a rev or so) so ya don't fry it. be careful. some juice might do it some good. worked for me. good luck.
> but i'm too stupid to adjust the pot
then you're too stupid to install a fresh spindle too. fucken do it.

Wellllll not exactly. The CPU/GPU is being used legitimately, however it is emulating a CD/DVD drive. The game is programmed with commands to receive data from the disc drive, and Nintendon't is supplying those expected commands along with the data.

ok, your laser is just a little tired, that's all, he just needs a bit more juice in his old age.
grab a jewelry flathead screwdriver and spin this guy clockwise the slightest little bit, like 1/32 of a rotation at a time, repeat as necessary. it worked for me.
you can fry your laser assembly doing this so DO NOT OVERTURN IT. as long as you're VERY CAREFUL, you'll be good.
