This is despite the fact that: 1) Its ROM released back in 1998, 2) the advent of repros meant more people can play it on real hardware, and 3) Nintendo officially released the same thing as "EarthBound Beginnings" on Wii U Virtual Console in 2015. Buyers who actually pay will care about the legitimacy and condition of the cartridge, and especially if you've got one from a major company like Nintendo in which leaked prototypes are coveted and rare, you're basically set as long as you keep it in one piece.
