I've never played it, I think it's usually compared unfavorably to Space Station Silicon Valley (same devs) but it's got it's cult followers for sure. Like it's on this list of pretty much every worthwhile N64 game, take that for what it's worth.
DMA Design also made GTA 1 and 2 and would go onto develop GTA 3 before being rebranded as Rockstar North shortly after the release of GTA 3, so it's a bit significant as like DMA's first foray into 3D third person shooters.

I like the N64 but i think it might be the only console where a flashcart is more expensive than all the worthwhile games combined

This guide has 72 games and misses off several beloved titles. I don't think 100 is a stretch.
So about a third of the library is considered very good / essential. This isn't even close to true for the PS1
