Yeah, I'd take generic 90s era punk aesthetic everyday over the idiotic overdesigned, non-functional bling bling shit that dominates the industry today.

Entire point of SOR was that a couple of normal dudes go outside and bare-knuckle fight crime gangs by themselves (ok, or smash them with an iron pipe or call in a cop car to nuke the screen, but still). You don't need the characters looking like something out of Borderlands or World of Warcraft, because that much shit tagged on a single character would just inhibit them when fighting.

OP probably wants the characters in the game to look like this.
