Used RG280V I ordered from an online pawn shop just arrived. It seems to be running OpenDingux stock firmware. My initial impressions are quite good. I absolutely love the aesthetics on this thing. I'm usually not a fan of devices that look like console controller ripoffs, but this one is an exception. I love the red and gold color scheme and how the protective glass on the screen is slightly raised above the frame. The plastic feels surprisingly good too. Buttons and the D-pad are satisfying to press, but using the shoulder buttons and other controls at the same time is not very comfortable. I honestly like the software, it has you choose the ROMs as actual files instead of a unified library but I don't mind that. Two things could be done better though. One is the fact that the reset button immediately resets the device upon press. This is bad because it's right next to the power button that is also used to adjust emulator settings during a game. IMO it should require holding for a little bit to work just like the power button. The second thing is that memory cards on PSX don't seem to work. The game will either say that there is no space on the memory card and refuse to save or it will do it but the save is going to be gone next time the game is started. If anyone knows the fix for this, please tell. It's not a huge deal because I can still use save states, but memory card emulation is more "legit" because that's the only way to save the game on an actual console. I tested several PSX games (Spyro The Dragon, Rayman, Croc, Silent Hill) and all of them performed well, at least in the initial stages. Some people say that those types of devices are too weak to run PSX, but I disagree. Sure, there are some games that will not run at full speed, but they're a minority.
