This isn't really that bad of a game and the hate it gets from some people is unjustified.
There are way worse RPGs out there.

Compared to mainline FF games it's bland and shallow, but it did its job as a "beginner's RPG" and the soundtrack fucks hard.

Not him, but vr shouldn't be about gate keeping, but trying to introduce the new generation to as many wonderful classic games as possible so they will, hopefully, understand why modern games are bad or, at least, evolving into something that seeks to supplant story telling with forced diversity and gameplay with surprise boxes and "press x to win" moments. I want to start an Adopt-a-Zoomer program and teach them why the classics are still relevant and matter, without holding them up to some unrealistic standard tinted by nostalgia.
