Nevermind that, just got past it. Turns out you had to Go back to the switch, then run back to shoot at the screen a few times .
Overall, 2048 units of /vr/ was a great wad, full of satisfying levels. I particularly liked the way some of the levels were decorated to feel really "lived in" or purposeful and they were well interconnected. A lot of devious ambushes that still didn't go overboard and I was able to do the vast majority of them on UV without saving in the middle of the levels. There were a few exceptions but those were clearly designed purposefully as "boss levels" or otherwise hard levels to begin with.
Big ups for the textures, the guns and the overall look and feel of the experience. This wad was one of the ones that genuinely rekindled my interest in DOOM and I'm looking forward to 94 Protons a lot.

I initially was really "ehhh" on DUSK because of it's graphical style leaning a bit too low poly for my liking but it looks better in motion ? Definitely on my radar.

I probably should've added that I like games that are light-ish on the "plot" but have a strong style to them like the Build Trio and have a sense of "intricate level design" to them, aka no open alley serious sam slaughtershit.

But so far pretty good recommends for sure

It's less the timing as much as it was lacking in guns that felt satisfying. The guns do not communicate their power when fired upon enemies in a meaningful way so the game looks really good but the gunplay just takes you out of whatever mood / immersion the audiovisual thematic puts you in.

Easy, you make a hallway with the same texture for 'dun', pick a different one for 'da', and for 'BOOP' and 'BOOM' use two seperate textures with high contrast to emphasize the difference between them.
