Grassrunners are probably like those races in MMORPGs where the differences between males and female forms are more than just genitals. Male Grassrunners have a more dog-like appearance, muzzles and all. Females on the other hand will have either rabbit or fox characteristics. Probably why they don't call them Dog-men or Hound Clan... they're meant to encompass more than just canines.

I figure Forest clan branched off from Grassrunners at some point in their shared past and became forest dwellers. Otherwise they'd fit right in.
