It's really fun anon, I highly encourage you to give it a try. At the risk of shilling myself, this is another moment I'm happy about

2-man coop session in BTSX E2, shit hit the fan and my buddy went down, so I had to defend him until he was able to get back up again. I was bleeding and everything around us was getting resurrected, but we somehow pulled through

It's just one of those default settings that I have no idea why Graf thought to put in GZD.

Why Graf, why would players want to not be able to see shit and not even have Doomguy emit light (Dark sector lighting)
Why Graf, why would players want to see blurred-ass textures (Texture filtering on Trillinear)
Why Graf, why would you have players have a super duper sensitive mouse (Prescaled mouse movement set to on)

There's probably more but I'm forgetting them right now.

I have a question that maybe anons here can help me with. There's this thread over at Doomworld attempting to rank the difficulty of WADs, from easiest to hardest, assuming Saveless play. https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/107015-wad-progression-for-skill-improvement/

The TL;DR goes something like this. From easiest to hardest the guy ranks them like this:
Doom -> Doom 2 -> TNT -> SIGIL -> Plutonia -> Scythe -> Ancient Aliens -> Valiant -> Alien Vendetta -> Hell Revealed -> Speed of Doom -> Scythe 2 -> Sunder -> Sunlust -> [here be dragons]

So I wanted to ask:
>Do you agree with this ranking, and if not, what would you change?
>Where would you place "Going Down", "Eviternity", "Back to Saturn X", "Jenesis", "JPCP", "Vanguard", "Swim with the Whales", "Plutonia 2", and "the DTWID series" in this ranking?

What does /doom/ think of Hideous Destructor?

Did you
>Try it and bounce off because complicated/hard/not your taste?
>Try it and played it, but haven't touched it in a while
>Try it and still play it?
>Never try it?

What are your favorite WADs that take place on a starship?

I'm looking for some of them Alien vibes to play Hideous Destructor with.

I recently beat The Plutonia Experiment on Ultra-Violence, pistol starting every level, with no saves.

Which WAD do you guys reckon I should go for next in the difficulty (and fun) scale?

I didn't start playing Plutonia with the intent to pistol-start each level but that sure is what's happening. I'm not very good at Doom.
