Alright, I'll further break down why I dislike them.
The emphasis on the cutscene takedowns sucks, the soundtrack is lacking, the full 360 aiming is a cute gimmick but having to stop and shoot sucks ass. The addition of teleports is also incredibly boneheaded and flies in the face of the series. Nerfing the screw attack is fucking asinine and shows the devs don't know as much about the series as they claim. Also they fucked up the finale of Metroid 2 so hard it's not even funny.
Really the only thing I give both games credit for is suit design. It's genuienly excellent, and I'm sad we'll probably never see white on a Varia suit color scheme again. But I don't ever want to play either of those games again.

Now are you gonna make this conversation or are you just wanting to be epic zinger man hoping I'd just reply with a one word shitpost.

They're still important landmarks in Metroid history, as well as the genre as whole.

I wouldn't recommend either for a NEW player though, Zero Mission is an excellent way to gain some bearing on the Metroid franchise and the genre.

Ideally I would say the best order for a new guy to play the Metroid games would be

Zero Mission
Super
Fusion
The Prime trilogy
then dip further back with the original and Metroid 2

All of the Metroid games deserve some love. Even the spinoffs like pinball and hunters.
