More of an "artistic experience" than a game, although much more of a game than say, LSD. Ostensibly a 3D rails shooter, your wireframe humanoid character soars through what can only be described as "cyberspace as depicted in a 90s hacker movie," leisurely dismissing enemies and picking up power ups, while both the music and the visuals become more fleshed out and detailed. The building trance-like music that reacts to your gameplay and gains layers as you progress is an integral part of the game experience.

Also on PS2, but that's not retro so who cares. It fits in better with the rest of the Dreamcast library anyway, if you ask me (both as a shooter and as a "quirky" and "artistic" game).
