For me it was Sonya Blade, especially Kerri Hoskins portrayal of her in MK3 (although Elizabethe Malecki was boner inducing as well). It made it all the better when I discovered Playboy pictures of her on my broadband connection in 2007. 11 year old me was cranking it to that shit on the daily.

Of course. The first 4 MK games were full of soul and are great games to play with friends. They are objectively fun even if they are flawed. I'm not saying the OG MK games are bad. But let's not pretend they were pinnacles of game design. It had Kerri Hoskins, Elizabeth Malecki and the other qt playing Sonya Blade, so it has a massive leg up over any 2D fighting game. I know you lovely ladies aren't here, but thank you for making me a man and hours of fun with my fightstick.

That's unironically true. The only SF gsmes that measure up to Guilty Gear (minus the first one, which is kinda shit) are Alpha 3 and the SF3 trilogy.
