Yeah, pic related is a fairly difficult level full of instakill stuff everywhere and tricky enemies.

It's aimed at younger kids/girls, but eh, it depends. Pic related is a pretty hard level, pretty much the entire level is covered in insta-kill thorns. Also, doing melon-only runs is quite the challenge.
Actual games for real babies would be edutainment games, or stuff like the Teletubbies game for PS1.
Yoshi's Story is still a traditional platformer, it's not any more "for babies" than games like, I dunno, Tomba or Klonoa.

They shouldn't have locked the other 18 levels behind collectibles. I get what they tried to do, you play single player and each time it can be a different "story", but in the end, most people just played through single player once, thought the game was just 6 levels long, and never knew there were other 18 levels.
