What do you think about the original TwinBee? Arcade or Famicom version?
There's also the x68K version but I never played it.

I really, really love the original game. The famicom version specifically.

Huge nostalgia boner for it. I also love pretty much every other game in the series including the SFC platformer.
I never got into Stinger much though. It was pretty ignored when it came out in the US, I think. They should have released TwinBee 1 instead.

Anyone played TwinBee 3? I think it's the most underrated game in the series.

Also, TwinBee on 3DS is pretty cool. I'm glad they went for the Famicom version and not the arcade... I always thought the Famicom ver. was better looking and sounding than arcade original. Best thing about the 3DS version is that you can adjust the rapidfire turbo, and the 3DS circle pad is really fucking good for shooters. It's a shame the 3DS was not exploited with the genre, it's far better than using the d-pad or nub of the PSP. Anyway, I recommend the 3d classic version of TwinBee on 3DS to anyone. I remember I got it for free with the bonus nintendo points that came with my 3DS.
X68K version is pretty nice too. Basically a 16-bit version of TwinBee.

It has the best looking version of the original TwinBee. Ot at least the one that looks more detailed, like 16-bit TwinBee.
Although I still think the Famicom version is the best.
