I want to have the most vanilla FF1 experience possible, but I'm a EOP and I know the NES version was badly translated and got censored for the american and european releases. Which version of it should I play?

Tried Final Fantasy 1 on msx the other day. Better graphics, better music...but the scrolling is awful.
Most msx games I tried had this problem. I don't think I can get over it. This machine might not be for me.

Do you prefer playing original versions or remakes for classic JRPGs that tend to be unforgiving and slower paced on Famicom? Think Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Megami Tensei, etc.

Using save states and speeding up gameplay on an emulator is cheating.
