Gonna ask how people USB C charge their devices because, the R36 is a bit of a pain in the ass to charge. I have USB C & A chargers that support PD but the device doesn't, so using a USB C to C cable that supports data results in no charge.

So I got a USB A to A extension cable (have many of them) and they usually don't strangle current but turns out when the tiny, cheapo USB A to C cable was used with one it'd cap out at 5w or less and slow charge, on its own I can get a device to charge around 6.5-7w which is about what I'd expect but it's fucking teeny.
At this point both my tablets and my phone are charged to 80-90% so it's going to be a few days before I can retest and get full current down them but I went out on a limb and connected my regular USB C cables to USB A male adapters and plugged them into a PD and regular charger and lo and behold, 6.5-7w too.

So is this the normal setup people use then to charge 'em? USB A (m) to USB C (f) adapters with C to C cables into devices? Will a more expensive adapter cuck me? If I buy USB A to C cables there's a chance of incompatibility and it's more e waste while I could spring for a few cheap USB a to C adapters instead.

God. I fucking despise USB C chargers & cable incompatibilities. I don't even blame USB C. I blame micro-usb for being cancer first.
