Omega Weapon in the FFVI GBA port was actually pretty formidable. Even with maxed out levels and top-end gear and spells, he sometimes finds a way to fuck me up if I'm careless.

Wouldn't Ultima be a near insta-kill at that level of magic power? It's quite a troublesome spell balance-wise if you think about it, what with it being so retardedly powerful AND ignoring magic defense AND attacking all enemies without any harm to you. I feel the game would have been better if you just had Flare for a powerful single-target defense-ignoring spell, Meteor for a moderately strong multi-cast version, and Meltdown if you really wanna lay down the hurt, but at your expense unless you equip fire-retardant stuff.
