If the prices weren't completely fucked up, I'd suggest the XBR Pro line of PVMs and Profeel-likes such as the 1271Q and 1390 as a counterpoint. They also happen to all be in the sharpness range that's ideal for 240p/480i content.

Again, some PVMs are actually ideal for pre-6th gen /vr/ like pic related, but their prices have been memed to the point that you're better off just shooting for high-end consumer sets these days.
