It's always been my favorite one. Crazy replay value, waifus, good music, fun but simple story/adventure with some badass moments here and there, etc, easily the best classic Final Fantasy imo.

Years ago I was thinking they might do 3DS remakes of 5 and 6 kinda like they did for 4 on the DS, it's not like it needs it but it might have been fun to see

Just because it's not some deep social commentary/political drama or whatever doesn't mean the plot is bad. It does exactly what it needs to for a fun RPG adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously. FF5 is the peak of the series.
