I can't think of a series that has consistently gotten it as bad as Persona. I left out vanilla P3's horrible PAL cover, but the US covers were consistently worse than the JP covers up until they started finally using the same covers with P4. It's kinda weird considering I'm pretty sure every other Megami Tensei game that was localized didn't have the cover changed aside from SMT Nocturne, which was only recolored from blue to red in America (although for what it's worth the PAL Nocturne cover is a horrible closeup of some stock art with Dante's 3D model slapped on top of it with the "Featuring Dante from Devil May Cry" meme symbol)
