I use HDR cables for my Genesis, Saturn, & SNES. It is well worth it in my opinion to avoid SCART at all costs, as I'm in America and don't want to bother with scouring eBay for decent switchers and having to scout for good quality cables. I have four Component consoles hooked up to one switcher, so it is definitely worth not having to implement some expensive RGB switch. Cables might be double the price of a good SCART connector, but I think it might actually be cheaper since Component switchers are much more common. Also in case my PVM explodes, I will have no trouble hooking up to a consumer set or even an LCD if I needed to for some reason.
