So this is basically better than software emulation, right?

No, I don't care about faggy YouTube collectors. I used to be kinda bitter about them and the current state of game prices but I've long since moved on and enjoy my retro vidya through other means

I'm not entirely sure it's perfect, but the Mister might be worth looking into for this.
Since in most cases it will do perfect hardware emulation, it's worth at least checking out. However, as one other anon noted, it's pretty damn pricey, so it may not be worth it.

>Having to get behind your "CRT" to switch your inputs hurr durr

Who the fuck hasn't already bought a MiSTer to play their retro games, soon we get the analog pocket beyond that what do you need a few CD to SD modded consoles. Since when did coomlectors think you had to have such a nonsensical setup to experience retro games. What a joke kek

Can anyone redpill me on Mister/FPGA emulation? Specifically for use via analogue through a CRT? How does it compare to real hardware and software emulation in terms of accuracy and input delay?

I'm mostly interested because of the neo geo capabilities because fuck if I can afford to get into the neo geo, but if it''s truly almost identical to real hardware (especially in terms of input delay) then I'm curious how much I can do with it

Is there any reason for buying a Mister instead of software emulation on PC? I heard opinions that it might offer less input lag but haven't come across any tests that would reinforce that.

These boards are beautiful. Dedicated emulation boards...
I wonder how they compare to the one in this picture
