Well, MS was dipping into hardware in 1996 with their side winder things.
The pad would had clearly been a a sidewinder and their killer app must would had been playable with it.
The game library is really a mystery, on the days of the og xbox msworked hard to be a strong first party and then slowed down. Who know what could they had been capable of doing in the 90's.
