Why is there such an autistic rage when this is brought up? It's a pretty fun wad.

Why does everyone think that Brutal Doom is a gore mod? It pisses me off when it does so much good stuff to the game and then people dismiss it as "just gore". You can even turn the gore off in the console ffs. Playing Doom 2 in Brutal Doom Realism mode has spoiled me, the game is fucking amazing.

Hope this is the right place for help here, cos I'm going mad trying to make this work.

I've set up a server on Doomseeker so that I can play Brutal Doom Co-op with a friend of mine. We've got all that working and it's fine, but.....

....what we really want to do is play in realism mode. Doomseeker doesn't have the options to change it (because it's set up for standard doom) and setting the command line doesn't seem to work either. I used "-skill 8" but it doesn't work.

Can anyone please shed some light on how to get realism co-op working on brutal doom mod, preferably through Doomseeker? I've been trying for hours and it's driving me nuts.

Give one reason why you think Brutal Doom isn't a good gameplay mod that doesn't involve:

1) Irrelevant attacks on the author or the fanbase

2) Post-hoc, completely subjective notions about "authentic" Doom gameplay

3) Irrelevant attacks on how the mod's coding is put together or where its assets come from
