I even like it; the ostrich part was fun.
The animal pyramid is tougher on the SNES version though, since the jumping mechanism can be a bit awkward and that particular version doesn't let you simply bypass the part where you have to swing on tails.

On Genesis and PC, the swing-on-rhino-tails segment is optional. You can just skip it by jumping onto a hippo's ear. On the SNES version you can't grab there, so you have to learn to jump on the hippo tails (which will take a few deaths before you figure out the correct timing). There are some other small differences between the versions too (music, graphics), but that shortcut's a pretty important one.

I enjoyed the second level and had fun with it. Never understood its reputation. The level with the bats and lava was the part I dreaded the most.
