I'm a Lizard+Dig (Your Own Grave) guy but PRC has some snazzy liveries for sure and probably the best story. Plus, Reiko is a PRC fangirl and that's like twenty bonus points right there. Shooting Hoops is by all means a lame course in pure layout, other than being the only one to really let you go full throttle with the last tier of cars, but it's elevated so much higher by the music and environment. The way the music is timed just right, even without dynamic tracking, that it changes tone entirely with the deeper DUNN DUNNN synths as the last lap starts, the fireworks shooting over the finish line and reflecting across your car in the post win victory lap while HAPPY NEW YEAR 2000 flashes across the billboards. It's such a perfect and unique piece that could only have existed in one year and arguably only put together by one company.

Oh god yes. Definitely a different game tonally and only one story, but it has that increasing progression, amazing soundtrack used perfectly, FUCKING RAVENWEST, and of course Le Mans.
